Valves open, the V10 breathes through 3 in piping for maximum power and a wild, race-car sound; valves closed, a bespoke X-pipe chambered muffler keeps things refined but still exciting, with drone controlled in both modes. Soul built it for owners who loved its R8 Race Exhaust but wanted a quieter setting at the press of a button.

Features

About 34.1 lb (15.5 kg) lighter than the factory exhaust: roughly 34.8 lb versus 68.9 lb stock

Valves closed: exhaust flows through Soul's own chambered muffler with an internal X-pipe, built to the drone-fighting standard Soul is known for on Porsches

Soul tested a conventional perforated-core muffler too; the chambered design gave a more aggressive sound on and off throttle with fewer unwanted tones

Valves open: exhaust exits through 3 in piping, with secondary flow through the muffler and X-pipe to cut rasp and give a higher, smoother note

Sound: Soul describes valves-open as the R8's loudest note amplified twofold, with crackles and burbles you will hear a mile away; valves closed is quieter with minimal drone

More exhaust presence in the cabin while keeping resonance and drone reasonable in both modes

Designed and built in-house by Soul Performance Products in Willow Grove, PA

Specifications

Material: mandrel-bent .060 in wall T304L stainless tubing

CNC-machined flanges and laser-cut brackets; water-jet cut flanges to ISO 9001:2015, +/- 0.003 in

Back-purged TIG welds (ARCAL Prime argon)

Built on thick aluminum fixtures that act as a heat sink to prevent warping

What's included

Soul valved exhaust system with X-pipe chambered muffler

Everything needed for a complete installation

Fitment

All Audi R8 V10 models from 2020 (coupe and Spyder, AWD and RWD)

Cars outside North America: email us first to check OEM particulate filter compatibility

Installation

Bolt-on installation; every piece is quality checked and foam packed for shipping

Email us for the install guide

Good to know

Soul backs its exhaust systems with a lifetime warranty for both street and track use

Soul part number: AUD.R8.2020.VES.
